Jess has been at the helm of the national side since July 2019 after an extensive 16 year playing and 15 year coaching career. She represented her country from 1991-2006 and then transitioned into senior coaching with the Celtic Dragons, having already coached at England U17 and U19 during 2004 and 2005. She has held the position of England U21 Head and Assistant Coach during two World Youth Cups, and has worked as both an Assistant and Technical Coach with the senior England team (2013-15).
Performance Coach Manager
Dan joined the Welsh Rugby Union in June 2018, after spending over five years as Head of Performance with Hockey Wales, and before that six years with Wales Rugby League. In his current role as Performance Coach Manager, amongst many other things he is responsible for overseeing a support package to the elite coaches across the performance game that allows them to thrive in their role. Dan also became Dr. Clements after undertaking his Research Doctorate at Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2015.
Head of Technical Development
Iain is a former professional cricketer, playing first class cricket for Hampshire between 2000 and 2003. After playing he became the Assistant and Fitness Coach at Hampshire until November 2011, when he left the Rose Bowl to take up a development role with England. He was Head of Talent & Performance Coaching at UK Coaching, before joining Southampton FC in 2017 in the role of Coach & Player Development Manager. He held that position for four years before being appointed to the newly formed role of Head of Technical Development this year.
Head of High Performance
Self-admittedly fanatical about helping leaders and teams create high performance, John’s work with clients focuses on high performing teamwork, leadership skills, and helping organisations to create a positive performance culture. He is a member of the institute for study of high performance, and recent research subjects have included the NZ All Blacks, the UK Sport Performance System, Pixar and Google.
