Head of Rugby
Paul joined Harlequins as Head of Rugby for the 2018/19 season. He enjoyed a long and illustrious playing career, appearing twice for England in non-cap matches, England A and the Barbarians. At club level, he won four Premiership titles and two European Cups in five years with Leicester Tigers before moving to London Irish and finally Saracens in 2006. Two years later he joined the club’s coaching team as Assistant First Team Coach before taking on the roles of Defence and Forwards. He joined Eddie Jones’s coaching team at the start of 2016, helping England win the Grand Slam, back-to-back Six Nations titles and a first ever series win in Australia.
Chris was appointed Senior Coach of the Brisbane Lions in October 2016. He joined the Club after almost a decade as Hawthorn’s Head of Coaching and Development during a highly successful period for the Hawks. The 55-year-old also spent a decade at Melbourne Football Club as General Manager of Football Operations, Assistant Coach and Reserves Coach. A qualified teacher, Chris was a standout during the process to select the new Senior Coach, which saw a number of high-quality candidates interviewed for the role.
Head of Sport & Soccer Development
Ralf is the Head of Sport & Soccer Development for Red Bull, a role in which involves him overseeing all aspects of development for the three Red Bull football franchises. Prior to his role with the wider Red Bull organisation, Ralf was the Sporting Director for both RB Leipzig & RB Salzburg, a role he took on in 2012. In 2015-16, Ralf stepped in as Manager, alongside his role as Sporting Director. He also repeated this in the 2018-19 season. At the end of the 2019 season, Ralf transitioned into his current role as the Head of Sport & Soccer Development for Red Bull.

Global Head of Creative Capability Development
Kirk is an expert in the development and harnessing of creativity and innovation within the work place, and the value of people, alongside technology, in achieving this. In 2012, Kirk joined Google as their Global Head of Creative Capability Development. Here he would further delve into the connection between culture and behaviour and their attendant effects on positive innovation. Combining his expertise for creativity as a critical skill, with his passion for sport, Kirk now also supports the elite and development areas of England Rugby, the English Football Association and Adidas in how fresh thinking and problem solving can provide a vital edge in both the performance and business sides of sport.
Lindsay is an American former competition swimmer, Olympic gold medallist, and former world record-holder. She represented the United States at the 2000 Summer Olympics and 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2006, Lindsay was appointed the National Team Managing Director to lead the organization’s National Team Division in overseeing all aspects of USA Swimming’s National Team program with the ultimate goal of ensuring that USA Swimming maintains its unprecedented run of international success.
Head of Player Insights
Kate is the Head of Player Insights at the Football Association, overseeing the identification, progression and selection of Players to the England Men’s Football teams. Using insights from data, practitioner experience, Player histories and Coaches’ tacit knowledge, the Player Insights Department will drive evidence-based decision making across England Teams. Her personal and professional interests centre around the use of ‘intuitive-decision making’ or ‘gut-feel’ alongside data-informed insights, for optimal performance and player development. Prior to joining the FA, Kate was Head of UK Performance Pathways at the English Institute of Sport and UK Sport; responsible for overseeing Talent Identification and Development practices across Olympic and Paralympic Programmes.
High Performance Director
Toni is the High Performance Director of Hockey Australia, a role she was appointed to in December 2016. This role encompasses both the men’s and women’s national programs and the HP network which consists of talent pathway programs in each of the 8 state & territories of Australia. Prior to this role, Toni has also held positions as the Sport Performance Manager at the Australian Institute of Sport, High Performance Manager at Hockey New Zealand and Head Coach Women’s Hockey Program at the Victorian Institute of Sport.
Vice President of Football Operations & Assistant General Manager
Kevin is in his 21st season with the Giants and his second as the team’s vice president of football operations. He has also been the team’s assistant general manager for 18 years. Abrams was previously the Giants’ salary cap analyst for three years. Kevin is the team’s primary negotiator for player contracts, works with the college and pro personnel departments to evaluate players in preparation for the NFL Draft and free agency, and is responsible for managing the Giants’ salary cap, football data analytics, player engagement, related strategic planning for football operations and compliance with the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Head of Team Strategy & Performance
Dave joined the Football Association as Head of Team Strategy & Performance in 2014 and has been instrumental in creating the strategy which has transformed the success of England teams since. Dave leads 5 major departments covering Medicine, Physical Performance, Analysis & Insight, People & team development & Player Insights and has led the strategy & performance planning for major tournaments including Russia 2018, France 2019 and Euro 2020.
Prior to the FA, Dave worked successfully across a wide range of elite sport environments including England rugby, the British Olympic Association as Director of Performance Services supporting the Vancouver winter and incredibly successful London 2012 summer Olympic games. Dave’s has a uniquely diverse and successful experience in elite sport which drives his passion for building successful sports teams and organisations.
Head of Sports Science
Sam joined Manchester City Football Club in the summer of 2011 as head of Sports Science and oversees a number of support services for the club including sports science, fitness and conditioning, nutrition and psychology. Sam had a three year period combining his role in Manchester with that of Global Lead for Human Performance for City Football Group which involved overseeing the approach, sharing best practice and providing strategic leadership to all the clubs in City football group worldwide in the areas of sports medicine, sports science and psychology. Sam also has international experience working for the England Mens senior team as a consultant performance coach for over a year. Previous to joining Manchester City Sam was Head of Sports Science for Tottenham Hotspur FC for 7 years.
Joe Montemurro is a former Australian soccer player, who is currently the Head Coach of Arsenal Women. From 2014 to 2017, Joe managed the women’s sides of Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City, before being appointed Head Coach of Arsenal, where he won the league title in his first full season with the club. It was Arsenal’s first title since 2012, which was also capped off with Joe winning the WSL League Managers Association (LMA) Coach of the Year and in In July 2019, being nominated as FIFA World Women’s coach of the year.
Vice President of Basketball Performance & Technology
Robby plays a key role in the integration of medical, technology, analytics and player development with the goal of improving basketball performance and player wellness at the Timberwolves. In addition to his Timberwolves duties, Robby is the founder and CEO of Sports Medicine Analytics Research Team (SMART), an organisation that has assisted numerous NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL clubs with injury data, return to play planning, and player evaluation and development. He previously served as the Associate Director of Data Analytics for Mayo Clinic Sports and lead clinical research scientist for Tria Orthopaedic Center.
Lead Psychologist, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst
Gareth is the Lead Psychologist in the Department for Communication & Applied Behavioural Science at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. Within this department, Gareth is the head of the academy’s Positive Psychology Resilience Programme aimed at educating and nurturing the talent in the academy around the importance of positive psychology.
Director of Surgical Education & Engagement Science
Roger is a clinician and educationalist whose multidisciplinary research builds on his experience in surgery and general practice and his interests and expertise beyond medicine. He is passionate about engagement in bridging the worlds of clinical practice, biomedical science, patients and society. He leads the Imperial College Centre for Engagement and Simulation Science and the Royal College of Music-Imperial Centre for Performance Science and is Professor of Anatomy at the Royal Academy of Arts.
Internationally Renowned Storyteller
Clare Muireann Murphy is an international storyteller who has performed in more than 20 countries. She has performed at all kinds of venues from the Globe Theatre to medieval roundtowers to NASA’s Von Kármán lecture series in Pasadena California. Clare has worked with many companies and institutions worldwide including The Royal Shakespeare Company, Jaguar Land Rover, NASA JPL, BLESMA Limbless Veterans, Mission Critical Team Institute, The Young Vic and the National Trust. Clare trains people in storytelling and communication skills. She has trained actors, scientists, veterans, military, bankers, and lawyers to name a few.
Research and Innovation (Athlete Health)
Glenn is a chartered physiotherapist and is the Head of Athlete Research & Innovation at the EIS, where the research and innovation team oversee 40 core Olympic and Paralympic sports. His role involves the evaluation of where the EIS can improve the health of their athletes, including the assessment of training strategies, athlete tracking, and use of equipment by working alongside the sports and coaches. In 2003 Glenn was the winner of the international HvU award for sports physiotherapy, which is awarded by the international federation of sports physiotherapy for outstanding achievement in this field.
Tom Nugent is Vice President at PlatypusNeuro, a San Diego-based applied neuroscience company that translates cutting-edge neuroscience discoveries into practical tools and programs that measurably enhance human performance. Tom runs the Elite Performance Solutions Division where his primary focus is the implementation of the Human 2.0 upgrade program to elite populations across multiple domains. He has over twenty years of experience in neuroscience research and neuroscience program management working with elite organizations ranging from professional sports teams, special operator communities in the U.S. military and abroad, as well as e-sports athletes and teams.
