Women in Football

Women in Football (WIF) is a non-profit network of over 5,000 women, men and non-binary people. We’re the voice of women in football and all those who support a future of football where gender discrimination does not exist.

We believe in deeds not words, action not conversation. We are doers, and key to what we do is bringing people and organisations together and empowering them with the skills and experience they need to thrive – both as individuals and as organisations. We do this by helping women via our courses, webinars and networking events – with the unstinting support of our lead partner Barclays.

When lockdown happened, we moved our marquee Leadership Course into the online environment where we continue to equip women with the skills and experience needed to progress up the career ladder. These women are the future leaders of our game, and we’re delighted to support their growth.

Following the launch of our new brand in late 2020, reinstating our mission and vision for a more diverse and inclusive game, in January 2021, we launched our new Corporate Membership and consultancy offers. We are delighted to welcome Brighton and Hove Albion FC, Onside Law, and FIFPRO to the WIF family – and we have more to come.

We doubled our turnover in 2020. We have greater recognition and more partnerships than ever. We are increasingly a respected stakeholder in the game – an important voice that football listens to. Whether it’s contributing to the media, joining the football coalition against social media abuse, making representations to ministers and MPs, helping football be better, or getting on with the wonderful day job of talking to our fantastic members, helping them, and connecting them with each other, we have done so much. And the exciting part? There’s more, far more, to come.
