Our stringent judging process for the Leaders Sports Awards is the driving force behind the organisations, partnerships, campaigns, networks and countries celebrated and given a global platform.

See below the judging stages for the Leaders Sports Awards.

NOMINATIONS ARE SUBMITTED

From Monday 5 April 2021, we will undertake a global search to collect nominations from all geographies, sports and organisations. The mission of the Leaders Sports Awards is to identify the innovative companies shaping the industry, seeing how they adapted throughout a turbulent 2020.

NOMINATIONS ARE REVIEWED

After nominations close on 11 June (Company Categories) and 30 June (Purpose Categories) respectively, all are reviewed and scored by a panel of independent advisors. The highest scoring nominations for each category were then presented to our panel of judges

JUDGING TAKES PLACE

The Leaders Sports Awards Judging Panel, a group of 100+ senior industry experts, will review all nominations via an online platform throughout July 2021. They will analyse every detail of the submitted applications and rank them individually based on a series of questions. The Judges rankings remained anonymous, and then the top 5 highest ranking entries in each category will make our shortlist.

SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED AND SHOWCASED

The Leaders Sports Awards 2021 shortlist will be announced at the start of September 2021 via our bespoke online awards platform. Each winning entry will have its own designated page to showcase the work they have produced.

WINNERS ARE ANNOUCED

Finally, winning work will be announced and awarded during a Leaders Sports Awards specific Showcase Evening (we might need to dress this up slightly) and ceremony during Leaders Week London* (4 – 8 October 2021). This will take place at the world-renowned Twickenham Stadium in London, recognising the hard work and positive impact winning entries have had on the sports industry.

PRIVATE WINNERS DINNER

Following Leaders Week London, representatives from winning organisations will be invited to attend a private Leaders Sports Awards Winners Dinner in London*.

*In accordance of Government Guidelines.
