Arab University Sports Federation (ARABUSF) was established in Abu Dhabi on 27 April 2002. His Highness Shaikh Nahayan Bin Mabarak Al Nahayan is the Honorable President of the federation, meanwhile Dr. Saeed Hamad Al Hassani is the elected president. The 22 Arab Countries are members in ARABUSF.
The main goals of ARABUSF are:
- Spread the practice of sport at its levels to students and people with special needs within Arab universities and to support initiatives and activities that promote the behavior of students so that sport becomes a way of life.
- Creating strong ties between the Arab youth and supporting the relationships of love, tolerance and brotherhood among them through university sports activities.
- To sponsor, support, develop and raise the level of the Arab University sports movement through possible means.
