For the first time, Leaders is bringing their globally renowned Sport Business Summit to Abu Dhabi. Lord Sebastian Coe, President, IAAF; Aarti Dabas, Head of Media Rights, International Cricket Council and Keith Pelley, Chief Executive Officer, PGA European Tour, are among the industry experts set to take to the stage at the Bab Al Qasr, Abu Dhabi on 30 – 31 January 2019.
Lord Sebastian Coe, President of the IAAF was the mastermind behind London’s successful bid and then the delivery of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as chairman of the local organising committee. Having been in his role at the IAAF since 2015, Lord Coe will bring a wealth of expertise to the 350 person audience in January.
Also taking to the stage is Aarti Dabas, Head of Media Rights, International Cricket Council. Dabas led the creation of the ICC’s first fan engagement strategy, focused on understanding, growing and monetising the global cricket fan base. With her role expanding to include identification and development of brand partnerships, Dabas will explore the use of technology and digital for storytelling and connecting with fans. Keith Pelley, Chief Executive Officer of the PGA European Tour has headed up the Tour since 2015 and in that time has pioneered a series of new initiatives including the launch of new formats such as GolfSixes, and shored up longstanding broadcast relationships with the likes of Sky Sports.
Coe, Dabas and Pelley will also be joined on stage at The Sport Business Summit by:

- Keith Harris, Deputy Chairman, Everton FC
- David Tyler, Chief Operating Officer, DDMC Fortis
- Peter Silverstone, Commercial Director, Arsenal FC
Made up of both UAE and overseas decision makers, the two-day event will consist of the main Summit and a series of bespoke workshops, providing a platform for attendees to discuss key themes and topics impacting the industry and region. Those include the future of Asian football, establishing a footprint in the MENA region, exploring new frontiers and destination-building and storytelling in sport.
