LaLiga, the top-flight Spanish football league and entertainment company that supports the sustainable growth of football around the world, has agreed a partnership with Leaders – the premium global conference and publishing organisation in sport – to educate the wider sports market on their international growth plans and to showcase their tech initiatives and innovative partnerships to the industry.


To kick start the collaboration, LaLiga’s Managing Director for MENA Maite Ventura and Digital Strategy Director Alfredo Bermejo will tune in to the LeadersWeek.direct/AbuDhabi digital broadcast on 16 – 17 March, in partnership with Abu Dhabi Sports Council, to share the keys to successfully activating across the GCC, provide an insight on how rights holders can grow their foothold in the region and will reflect on the organisation’s recent partnership with Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch; the first European sports property to launch on the channel.

With football at its core, LaLiga is focused on creating the most engaging content, from its audiovisual broadcasts to social media and mobile applications, designed specifically for the audience in mind. This approach has earned it over 110 million followers on social platforms, a cumulative broadcast audience of 2.8 billion in the last season and new associations with organisations including LiveLike, Orange, LiveScore, China Mobile and more recently, Twitch.
