Leaders, the global events, media and publishing platform in sport, and organiser of the Leaders Sport Business Summit in New York and London, is delighted to announce the China edition of the world renowned gathering, hosted this year on 21 July in Beijing.
The inaugural one day international Summit will bring together an invitation-only audience of 150 Chinese and overseas executives to examine strategies for growing sport in China, explore recent changes in the investment landscape as well as analyse media consumption and sponsorship trends as China’s market rapidly develops. The full-day event will be hosted at Sina Plaza located in the “Silicon Valley” district of Beijing by Sina Corporation, the Official Host Partner of Leaders Sport Business Summit China.
The day before the Summit, Leaders will also be hosting a number of in-depth workshops at a variety of venues around the city, designed to facilitate knowledge sharing between senior executives from China and overseas. The day after the Summit, Leaders will be hosting an exclusive networking reception in the run up to the Chelsea v Arsenal match held on the evening of the 22 July at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing.
Rounding off this series of events in Beijing, Leaders are undertaking a comprehensive editorial programme all year round to provide in-depth reports on the Chinese Sport market and leading figures within it. Led by an expert Advisory Board of senior industry figures from around the world, the content will keep pace with the Chinese Sports industry as it reaches its most exciting phase of development following President Xi Jinping’s directive to create an $800bn business by 2025.
Announcing the launch, James Worrall, Leaders Founder and CEO, said “The market in China is exploding and there is a genuine need for people both inside and outside of China to connect, share insight and do business. We are therefore incredibly excited to launch a series of activations in China climaxing in the Beijing edition of the Leaders Sport Business Summit as well as an editorial plan to ensure the Leaders community is kept up to speed with insight and analysis on the Chinese market.”
Arthur Wei, Sina SVP and Sina Sports General Manager, said: “We are very excited to be partnering with Leaders and hosting the leading sports conference in China. As the leading sports digital media platform in China, we have nineteen years of experience in the sports industry; through our partnering with Leaders, we hope to connect the Chinese sports industry with the rest of the world and accelerate the developments and cooperations between the China and international sports industry.”
