In celebration of one year to go to the World Cup, Leaders launch inaugural event in Qatar

Building on successful longstanding partnerships with Aspire Academy, Josoor Institute, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and beIN Media Group, Leaders are excited to launch a new, hybrid event experience – Leaders Meet: Qatar 2022 – taking place on 28-29 November 2021 in Doha, Qatar.
After five years of collaboration in Qatar delivering professional development workshops and executive development programmes as part of the Josoor Institute’s legacy programme, Leaders are thrilled to partner with host partner, Aspire Academy, to bring their first Summit to Qatar.

Leaders have profiled the journey to the FIFA Qatar World Cup 2022 including their bid pitch at an edition of the Leaders Sport Business Summit, with Hassan Al Thawadi, Secretary General of the Supreme Committee, delivering their vision for hosting the tournament. The event this year will chart the significant milestone of one year to go until the World Cup kicks off.

The hybrid event experience will take place over two days in the run up to the kick off of the FIFA Arab Cup 2021. Day one will host an invitation-only in-person event at Qatar National Convention Centre and day two will be hosted at the beIN Media Group studios and broadcasted live internationally all over the world via the LeadersWeek.direct/ platform.

Government officials, investors, brands and sports rights holders will have the opportunity to connect, share insight and do business with international sponsors, clubs, leagues and broadcasters involved or investing in Qatar.

Leaders Meet Qatar 2022 will be delivered in partnership with the Josoor Institute, beIN Media Group and host partners, Aspire Academy.

James Worrall, Leaders in Sport Founder & Executive Chairman commented “It’s been fantastic working with our partners in Qatar over the last five years, charting the growth of Qatar as a centre for sports excellence. I’ve been fortunate enough to see first-hand the incredibly hard work that is going into hosting a brilliant World Cup experience and leaving a genuine legacy. We’ve long discussed hosting an event in Qatar and so it’s immensely exciting to actually be doing it!”
