content-area\">\n                                    <p><h4>Josh Boyd, Assistant General Manager of MLB&#8217;s Texas Rangers is not afraid to admit it: &#8220;We&#8217;re not where we want to be.&#8221;<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Having joined the club as Assistant Director of Pro Scouting in October 2007, Boyd would witness the Rangers reach consecutive World Series in 2010 and 2011 and they have not returned in the interim period.<\/p>\n<p>Not that Boyd needs telling. &#8220;Some of that is down to processes, some of it is down to the resources we need to continue to explore and invest in; so the investment in our people and resources in order to put us in that position is something that&#8217;s critical at this stage we&#8217;re at.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And having those relationships and the trust within the group will allow us to realign in around changes such as turnover or maybe areas that demand a little more attention right now to get them now to where we need to go.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Boyd is speaking at the 2018 Leaders Sport Performance Summit in Chicago where he spoke of the importance of humility and building organisational trust through the communication of a clear purpose, which is to return to the World Series and &#8211; this time &#8211; win it for the first time in franchise history.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Want to hear more from Major League
