Tony Minichiello is the former coach of British Olympic heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill. The pair met at the Don Valley athletics stadium when Ennis-Hill was at a summer holiday camp as a teenager and have since gone on to win countless athletic medals including the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games. In this captivating interview, Minichiello discusses having a coaching philosophy, the importance of a strong athlete/coach relationship on the journey from adolescent promise to adult accomplishment; and finally where he sees the next innovation in athletic performance.
