Hornets capture Kupchak

The NBA’s Charlotte Hornets have announced Mitch Kupchak as their new General Manager. The 63-year-old, who won four NBA Championships at the LA Lakers, replaces Rich Cho.


La Salle hire Howard

Ashley Howard is the new Head Coach of the La Salle University’s men’s basketball program. He joins from Villanova, where he served as an assistant coach of the men’s program under Jay Wright.




Texas Tech appoint Stollings

Marlene Stollings has been appointed as Head Coach of Texas Tech University’s women’s basketball program. She arrives from Minnesota to replace Candi Whitaker, who left the school in January.


Morrell bound for UNC-Asheville

Mike Morrell is the new Head Coach of the men’s basketball program at the University of North Carolina-Asheville. The 35-year-old arrives from Virginia Commonwealth where he served as an assistant coach for the past seven years.


Florida grab Gates

Armon Gates has been hired as Associate Head Coach of the University of Florida men’s basketball program. He arrives from Northwestern where he served as an assistant coach.


Peters picked by Arizona

Danny Peters has joined the coaching staff of the men’s basketball program at the University of Arizona. He arrives from Ball State where he served in a similar role


Falcons add to coaching staff

The NFL’s Atlanta Falcons has added to their coaching staff with the hiring of Travis Jones as an assistant defensive line coach and Aden Durde as a defensive quality control assistant. Jones previously worked with Falcons Head Coach Dan Quinn at the Seattle Seahawks, while Durde worked for NFLUK as Head of Football Development.


Nishino takes new role

Akira Nishino, the Chair of the Japan Football Association’s technical committee, will lead the team into the 2018 Fifa World Cup finals as Head Coach. The 63-year-old replaces Vahid Halilhodžić just two months before the start of this summer’s tournament in Russia.




Terraneo takes new West Brom role

Giuliano Terraneo has been appointed as a technical consultant by English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion. The Italian has signed an initial six-month contract and arrives in the wake of Nick Hammond’s departure from his position as Albion’s Technical Director.


Purcell picked by GB Rowing

Brendan Purcell is set to replace Sir David Tanner CBE as Director of High Performance at British Rowing. Purcell will take up the post in June following Tanner’s decision to step down in February.


Hahn hired at South Dakota State

Damion Hahn is the new wresting coach at South Dakota State University. He arrives from Cornell in Ithaca, where he spent 12 years as an assistant coach and, latterly, as Associate Head Coach.
