The FA’s newly appointed Director of International Relations, Corporate Affairs and Co-Partner for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Edleen John, and Sanjay Patel, Managing Director of The Hundred Competition & Executive Diversity and Inclusion Champion, ECB, participate in a panel moderated by FARE Network’s Executive Director Piara Powar, speaking on the topic of ‘Diverse Leadership in Sport – What Needs to be done?’

The panel, which was delivered alongside FARE Network as part of their #FootballPeople week, focused on both organisations work in the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion space, outlining their priorities and targets. For the ECB, Sanjay addressed the first phase of the ECB’s work to strengthen their D&I strategy, and to make cricket a game for everyone. Joining us just before the FA announced the release of the Leadership Diversity Code, Edleen spoke to how the FA aims to tackle racial inequality in the English game from the grassroots level up to the boardroom.
