Adam Silver was unanimously appointed NBA Commissioner on February 1 2014, by the NBA Board of Governors in February 2014. He leads a league that has become a model for global sports marketing organizations and one of the largest providers of sports programming in the world. As Commissioner, Adam is dedicated to increasing transparency and leveraging the NBA’s digital assets. Prior to becoming Commissioner, he served as NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer for eight years. Adam also helped launch the WNBA and NBA Development League, NBA China and a partnership with Turner Broadcasting to jointly manage the NBA’s digital assets.
