10 years of Leaders: Beats By Dre makes its mark

Omar Johnson left Beats By Dre on 1 November 2016. As Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Marketing before that, Johnson was instrumental in the surge that saw the brand rise to the very top. He was responsible for some of the company’s most impactful advertising campaigns, catapulting Beats By Dre and its distinctive product to the position of ever-present in pop culture.

In October 2014, two years after Beats By Dre, fresh from a powerful ‘ambush’ marketing campaign at the London 2012 Olympics, was acquired by Apple in a blockbuster $3 billion deal, Johnson travelled to London to deliver a standout session at the Leaders Sport Business Summit.
