    Introducing SailGP\u2019s Women\u2019s Pathway – a transformative new program breaking boundaries, driving gender equity and reinventing the sport of sailing.<\/p>\n

    The Women\u2019s Pathway was pioneered in 2021 as part of SailGP\u2019s Better Sport<\/em> strategy to accelerate inclusion, inspire change and provide opportunities for women at the elite level of sailing. SailGP is capitalizing on the biggest opportunity in elite sport – creating a gender equitable league where the best male and female athletes compete together on a hydrofoiling F50. This isn\u2019t a separate male and female league. SailGP is demonstrating to a global broadcast of millions that men and women can compete together at the highest level.<\/p>\n

    The Women\u2019s Pathway was developed in response to the growing inequality in sailing, highlighted by World Sailing Trust in its Women in Sailing<\/em> strategic review in December 2019. The review found 80 percent of female respondents and 56 percent of male respondents believed gender balance was an issue in the sport.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n \n \n <\/div>\n
