Yet for fans of sports beyond football in DACH, access has traditionally been quite limited. In 2024, DYN Media identified a clear market gap: a centralized, high-quality streaming destination for sports such as hockey, volleyball, basketball, handball, and table tennis.<\/p>\n<p>What are the numbers behind this? In Germany, there are just over 80 million people. 23 million are interested in football, but almost as many, 17 million are interested in five other sports. Accessing that content was fragmented, and difficult.<\/p>\n<p>DYN&#8217;s mission was bold\u2014build a premium platform that brought fans closer to the action through live match coverage, highlights, and exclusive content. More than a broadcaster, DYN wanted to become a long-term partner in the development of German sport and help grow the sports themselves, at every level.<\/p>\n<p>The platform is built on a full suite of Deltatre technologies which combine to create their Volt solution. Volt utilizes the latest DIVA product and integrates with other core services of the Deltatre product range including AXIS, as well as additional third-party integrations.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding the financial pressures of sports broadcasting, DYN adopted a dual monetization model combining subscription video on demand (SVOD) with dynamic advertisement during natural sports breaks. Integration of Harmonic\u2019s VOS360 into the video player complements the subscription model with advanced ad-serving capabilities, unlocking new revenue streams and elevating ad performance across live events.<\/p>\n<p>The Dyn platform can handle high volumes of audience and streams. Dyn broadcasts national and international games in five sports, at times serving 20 concurrent live events to its audience. Together with the publications on the social media channels of the partner leagues, clubs and media partners, a total reach of 800 million contacts was achieved.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
