In crafting our in-game experience, we aimed to transform Liberty games into dynamic cultural events that transcend the basketball court, positioning games as holistic entertainment experiences for all.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve reimagined what a professional sporting event can be and created a new era of accessibility, connecting fans to the team and game day experience through new mediums, including apps, social, and broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Our entertainment strategy begins with intentionality: we know who we are, who we serve, and why it matters. This was heavily informed by a fan segmentation study we commissioned, which helped to reveal who our most potent target audiences are. As a Brooklyn-based team, we also looked to reflect our home. Armed with research and a pulse on New York\u2019s culture, we embraced the energy of the city to create a highly resonant and diverse entertainment experience.<\/p>\n<p>In-arena, we leaned into the culture of Brooklyn specifically and NYC more broadly for a game day experience that cannot be replicated. Halftime performances often featured hip hop \u2013 a calling card of Brooklyn \u2013 and were headlined by New York natives including Ja Rule, Fat Joe and Jadakiss, among others. Our mascot, Ellie the Elephant, a true Brooklyn diva, became an in-arena attraction in her own right with iconic (and viral) halftime performances. Tapping into the celebrity factor, we revamped our courtside seats as stars came out in numbers, creating CeLIBERTY Row, where Megan Rapinoe, Common, Jason Sudeikis, Spike Lee, Gayle King, and Alicia Keys, among others, helped to establish Liberty games as a NYC \u201cmust.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve earned the title of \u201cthe hottest summer party in Brooklyn\u201d for good reason.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
