Leaders in EDI is a monthly series covering news, views, comments and debates happening across the\u202fEquality, Diversity and Inclusion\u202fspace. We also shine a spotlight on the progress being made and the challenges being faced in EDI across sport.<\/p>\n

This month, we have a jam-packed episode to mark Black History Month here in the UK. At 14:38, host Javan Odegah and Leaders’ Editor John Portch are joined by Rodney Hinds, the longstanding Sports Editor at The Voice (Britain\u2019s favourite Black newspaper), who talks about the importance of mentorship in the EDI space. At the 29 minute mark, we then move to a conversation originally recorded on the Headline Stage at Leaders Week London, where Sky Sports’ Head of Marketing Lisali Sitali was in conversation with the NBA Foundation’s Executive Director Greg Taylor. In an engaging exploration, the pair reflect on how the NBA is using the power of its brand, the cruciality of engaging with players from recruitment to beyond retirement, and what inspired the formation of the NBA foundation and the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition.<\/p>\n
