Dr Richard Burden is Co-Lead of Female Athlete Health & Performance at the UK Sports Institute (formerly English Institute of Sport).
He provides leadership in the science, medicine and technology support to female athletes and their sports across the UK Olympic/Paralympic system. As an applied physiologist, Richard has worked with Olympic and Paralympic athletes across four Olympic/Paralympic cycles. Alongside his work at the UKSI, Richard has academic positions at Loughborough University and St Mary’s University.
