The Role:
Focused on delivering world class content programmes for 2 of our major events, Leaders Week London and 4se New York. This FTC role is an end to end conference production role, from research and ideation phase through to onsite execution of the agenda and post event analysis.
We’re looking for a well-connected, creative and confident individual who is able to research, understand and then bring to life key market trends in the form of imaginative and engaging content sessions. Formats are key, so we’re after someone who can think outside of presentations and panels and come up with unique ways of delivering content that will excite and inspire our audiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough desk and phone research to identify key trends, challenges and hot topics
- Proactively contribute to project meetings and provide market feedback
- Identify, approach and recruit speakers, with a dual focus on seniority/prestige and uncovering interesting stories
- Introduce exciting new content formats to ensure sessions remain engaging
- Work closely with the marketing and content marketing team to ensure the content programme is being presented in an engaging way
- Where relevant, work closely with commercial partners and the Head of Content to ensure sponsored content follows the Leaders standard and is not overtly pitch driven
- Work closely with the Head of Content to ensure sessions are aligned and complimentary to the wider conference programme
- Ensure consistent and timely communication of key target prospects to ensure there is no crossover with the wider content team
- Adhere to strict campaign deadlines, delivering confirmed speakers in line with the marketing promo timeline in order to drive ticket sales
- Liaise with speakers throughout the conference production cycle, briefing them pre-event to ensure they are clear on finer details and requirements
- Arrange pre event prep calls to ensure all parties to a session are aligned on the topic and focus
- Ensure timely delivery of video or other material involved in the sessions and work closely with the Technical Producer to ensure clarity of how and where the content is used
- Be responsible for 100% accuracy of speaker names, job titles, organisations and session titles on content stage slides
- Attend the events as the point of contact for the speakers, running speakers to and from the speaker room and generally seeing that your stage production runs smoothly
KPIs:
- Programme 1 stage across 2 days at Leaders Week London (with 50% shaped for commercial alignment)
- Programme 1 stage across 1 day at 4se
- Introduce at least 2 creative new session formats per event
- Achieve our DE&I goals of 50% gender diversity, 40% ethnic diversity and zero male only panels
Key requirements:
- 4+ years in an end to end conference production role
- Background / contacts within the marketing, media and advertising industry, specifically brands and agencies
- Experience programming conferences within the wider entertainment world, music is desirable
- Ability to juggle multiple research and invite campaigns at once
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Positive approach and a great team player
