Job Description:
Leaders Group is seeking an Event VIP Audience Development Manager based in Wimbledon, London to take ownership of our event audience that comprises executives in sports business. Joining a growing team, you will lead on community building and relationship management with VIPs and other key stakeholders, taking responsibility for a broad range of events within the team. The environment is busy and challenging and you have to be able to work on multiple projects at once. The ideal candidate will maximize attendance at a variety of conferences and events across Leaders in Sport, The Esports Observer, SportTechie and Sports Business Journal.
Responsibilities Include:
- Expand the VIP offering and strategy in conjunction with the Head of Sales and Event Directors
- Liaise with conference producers, sales team members, speakers and sponsors to identify key VIPs and investors to invite to physical events and digital offerings
- Research ideal audiences, compile databases and develop audience strategy for world class events
- Contact selected individuals by email, telephone and directly to discuss attendance and securing their participation in various structured networking / social formats as well as digital offerings, such as webinars, surveys, and digital events
- Be able to assimilate & prioritize communications quickly and report metrics across the business in a fast paced environment
- Meet and greet the VIPs onsite at the events, ensure they are looked after
- Ensure that VIPs have a great customer experience throughout the campaign
- Build strong relationships with these key VIPs to create brand commitment and loyalty.
- Work closely with the team to validate the eligibility of incoming requests for VIP (and other key stakeholder) passes
- Register community members/contacts/clients on Cvent and maintain good data within our CRM system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong work ethic with ability to multitask between prospecting, cold calling and follow-up
- Professional telephone manner and excellent communication, writing, presentation and interpersonal skills and ability to conduct webinars.
- Flexibility to work in a fluid work environment and to help create structure
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to timescales, targets and KPIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong Internet research skills
- Proven ability to use initiative when required and to go ‘above and beyond’ in order to deliver excellent customer service
- Experience of building relationships and working with C level executive desirable
