Double sports franchise owner Harris to discuss investment strategies at Leaders

Joshua Harris, lead investor in the $469million NBA franchise the Philadelphia 76ers and co-owner of the $320million NHL team the New Jersey Devils, is the latest speaker to be revealed for the 7th edition of the Leaders Sport Business Summit on 8-9 October 2014 at Chelsea FC.

With a net worth of $2.7billion, Joshua is one of the most prominent business people in the world and represents a new breed of owner investing in sport with clear, long term ambitions. Investing in sport through his Apollo Global Management Practice, Josh completed The Devils purchase in 2013 just 2 years after buying the 76ers with a stated aim to expand the portfolio whenever there is a long term strategy for capital growth. At Leaders Josh will discuss what he looks for when investing in sport and lay out some of his ambitions as an owner in sport for the long term.

He joins those major signings already announced including Shaikh Salman, President of the Asian Football Confederation; James Pallotta, President and Chairman, AS Roma; Dave Coplin, Chief Envisioning Officer at Microsoft; Jeffrey Webb, President, CONCACAF; Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Chairman of the European Clubs Association and FC Bayern Munich; Roel De Vries, Corporate Vice President and Global Head of Marketing, Communications and Brand Strategy, Nissan; Christian Seifert, CEO, German Bundesliga; and Erick Thohir, Owner and President, FC Internazionale Milano, as the latest speaker to be revealed for the London event.
