NewsThe annual campaign will involve an extensive search of all geographies, sports and professions to identify those individuals helping to shape the future of the industry. An exclusive black tie Awards Dinner will be held in London every year during the flagship Leaders Sport Business Summit to celebrate the achievements of nominees and winners, all of whom will be profiled in Sport Business International.
All winners, as the title suggests, need to be under 40 years of age and will be decided by a host of influential judges including, amongst others: Bruce Buck, Chairman, Chelsea FC; Boutros Boutros, Divisional Senior Vice President Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, Emirates Airline; Scott O’Neill, President, Philadelphia 76’ers and New Jersey Devils; Stacey Allaster, Chairman and CEO, Women’s Tennis Association; Ivan Gazidis, Chief Executive, Arsenal FC; Brett Yormark, President, Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Centre; Michel D’Hooghe, Executive Committee Member, FIFA; Peter Moore, Chief Operating Officer, EA; Alex Horne, General Secretary, The FA; Matt Cutler, Editor, Sport Business International; Garry Cook, Global EVP, UFC; Moya Dodds, Vice President, Asian Football Confederation; Ian Ayre, Chief Executive, Liverpool FC; Simon Bazalgette, Chief Executive, The Jockey Club; Jeffrey Webb, President, CONCACAF & Executive Committee Member, FIFA; and Ivan Bravo, Director General, Aspire Academy.
To kick off the Leaders Under 40 Awards, the first edition of which will be held in 2015, Leaders and Aspire are hosting a very special, invitation-only dinner at the world famous BAFTA’s in London on the evening of Wednesday 8th October 2014 for 100 of the top people in sport. The evening will not only officially launch the Awards, but will also celebrate the achievements of one inspiring leader who has made an outstanding contribution to sport in their career.
