Overview
This virtual roundtable is co-created with Leaders Performance Institute main partner, Kymira, and will provide a space for Leaders Performance Institute members, and non-members, to come together to discuss how cutting edge research and the latest technology can help to enhance muscle adaptation and improve high-intensity exercise performance.
We will hear from Dr. Richard Ferguson, Reader in Human and Exercise Physiology, at Loughborough University, who will delve into his research on improving human performance and health through exercise training and use of novel interventions.
Adaptation – Exploring how infrared (IR) technology can boost important signals inside muscle cells, which might help muscles adapt better to exercise.
Performance – Examining the evidence that IR alters the physiological response to exercise, and that it may consequently contribute to improved high intensity exercise performance.
Recovery – Reflect on ongoing studies to determine whether recovery following intense exercise is improved with IR technology.
Eligibility to Attend
To be eligible to attend you must work for a professional sports team or league, an international sports federation or governing body, or an academic institution offering sports-related subjects. Attendance for the Virtual Roundtable is for those occupying roles such as Head of Performance, Director of Performance, Head of Sports Science, Head of Sports Medicine, Head of Strength & Conditioning, Physiotherapists, and Athletic Trainers.
