This Privacy Policy applies to the website available at  www.leadersinsport.com and on any other website where this Privacy Policy is posted, including event registration, virtual events and similar services offered via the website (collectively, the “Website”), owned and operated by Leaders in Sport (“Leaders in Sport,” “we,” “us,” and “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we may collect, use, and disclose Personal Data from visitors to our Website, and your choices and rights regarding your Personal Data.

By accessing or using our Website, you acknowledge that your Personal Data will be processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect:

When you visit our Website, we may collect certain Personal Data.  “Personal Data” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular identifiable individual or household. Personal Data does not include anonymous, de-identified, or aggregate information.

You may provide us with certain Personal Data if you choose to register for events or participate in those events, register for newsletters, download articles and content, sign up for one of our membership programs, apply for a job, or otherwise when you directly interact with us on other occasions.

The information you might choose to provide to us includes:

  • Identity Data – first name, last name, username or similar identifier, password, title, company and position, country of residence, resume or CV
  • Contact Data – email address, postal address, physical address and telephone number, social media contact information;
  • Transaction Data – record of your subscription and event purchases;
  • Profile Data – including your interests, preferences (including in relation to marketing), feedback and survey response, industry segment, industry sector, job seniority, job function;  
  • Employment Data – including your name, resume or CV, email address, and information you provide in a cover letter. Optionally, you may also choose to provide us with your mailing address, and additional information about your education and experience. 

2. We also automatically collect certain information through cookies, and we may also place other tracking technologies, including internet or pixel tags on the Website and in our communications with you, such as within e-mail.

Cookies. Cookies are small data files sent by a website and stored on the computer or device at the request of that site. Cookies store information related to a user’s browser to enable us to recognize the browser on return visits to our Website and to remember your preferences.

Pixel tags. A pixel tag (also referred to as a “clear gif” or “web beacon”) allows us to track online usage patterns on the Website, to understand which links are clicked, or when you open emails that we may send to you. In general, we use your Personal Data to provide you with information on our Website, fulfill your requests, such as registering you for an event or reviewing your membership application, considering you for job openings you have applied for, providing customer service, providing you with marketing materials, and administering and maintaining our Website, including providing for your access and for the security of our Website.

  • the Leaders in Sport family of companies, available here, as well as our advisors, including lawyers, consultants, accountants, and others who may assist us in our business and legal operations.

We may also need to disclose your Personal Data in the following circumstances:

  • if we are required to do so by law or pursuant to a binding regulatory request (in such circumstances, such disclosure will at all times be solely to the extent required by law or the applicable regulatory request);
  • in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements.

In addition, as our business changes, we may buy or sell various assets owned or controlled by us. In the event all or a portion of the assets are sold, assigned, transferred or acquired by another company due to merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, financing, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, your Personal Data may be transferred.

 

Personal Data Transfers Outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”)

Our offices are located in the United Kingdom and the United States, and your Personal Data may be processed, transferred to, and maintained on, servers and databases located outside of the jurisdiction in which you are based and where the privacy laws may not be as protective as your jurisdiction. How Long We Keep Your Personal Data

We will keep your Personal Data for as long as is necessary to perform the service for which it was provided.  Once you no longer wish to be engaged with Leaders we may still need to retain limited Personal Data if there is a legal reason for doing so.

We may retain deidentified data. Once deidentified, we will not attempt to reidentify the data.

 

Third Party Websites and Social Media

Our Website may contain links to third party websites. These links are provided for your convenience. We do not have any control over these third party websites and are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such sites. Importantly, your use of these third party sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy. As such, please exercise caution and examine the privacy policies and terms of use applicable to the relevant third party sites.

Our Website also contains social network sharing widgets. These widgets may provide information to their associated social networks or third parties about your interactions with pages that you visit on our Website, even if you do not click on or otherwise interact with the plug in or widget.
