Sonya has worked in the sports industry for more than 20 years including roles with Australian Sports Commission, Sport England and Cricket Australia. Sonya has expertise in many aspects of sport including strategy creation, high performance management, talent identification, pathway development, leadership development and event development. Sonya’s current role is Head of National Development for Cricket Australia. She previously held the role as Leadership and Culture Manager at the Australian Institute of Sport, responsible for building capability within the High Performance sport system by supporting the development of individual and collective leadership and holistic high performance cultures. Prior to joining the AIS Sonya was Head of Women’s Cricket for Cricket Victoria, and held senior roles within Cricket Australia, one of those being the Women’s Big Bash League Manager.
