Helene Wilson is a Women in High Performance Sport Lead for High Performance Sport New Zealand. She transitioned from full-time high-performance coaching to a strategic role, supporting aspiring women in New Zealand’s high-performance sports sector. After a successful coaching career, she rejoined High Performance Sport NZ (HPSNZ) with a vision to design and execute strategic drivers that empower women to excel in high-performance sports. With over 12 years of experience, Helene honed her skills as the Head Coach of the Northern Mystics netball team, including coaching the Northern Mystics Men’s team in 2023.
Celebrating 100+ coaching caps with the semi-professional Northern Mystics, she instigated a holistic approach for success, notably winning the ANZ Premiership title in 2021. A graduate of the renowned Coach Accelerator High Performance Coach Programme, Helene has contributed to Silver Fern programs and NZ’s coaching landscape. Her rich background spans diverse roles in athlete support, netball development, and coaching. With a comprehensive coaching journey, she champions holistic performance, underpinned by expertise in life coaching, leadership, and diversity.
