Stuart Lancaster answers that question before addressing the obverse: what do coaches want from their players?

Stuart Lancaster, Senior Coach at Leinster Rugby, tackles the coach-player dynamic from both perspectives, spelling out what each wants from the other.

“It’s a good chance to reflect upon what players want from coaches and if you’re achieving that,” he says at the top of his presentation.

“And it’s a good chance for you to feed back to your follows about whether they’re behaving and displaying the standards you expect from them because it has to work both ways; it’s not just a one-way street.

“There needs to be mutual accountability, mutual respect and a sense of we’re all in this together.”
