Kovač bound for Bayern

German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have announced that Niko Kovač will be their Head Coach next season. The 46-year-old will arrive from Bayern’s Bundesliga counterparts Eintracht Frankfurt to replace the departing Jupp Heynckes.




Virginia take Thompson

Tina Thompson has been appointed Head Coach of the University of Virginia’s women’s basketball program. The 43-year-old former WNBA star arrives to replace the departing Joanne Boyle.

All Blacks promote Anthony

Mike Anthony has been promoted to Head of High Performance at New Zealand Rugby. He has been working with the All Blacks for the past decade and his most recent position was High Performance Player Development Manager.

Redpath to Scotland

Bryan Redpath has returned to rugby as the Head Coach of Scotland men’s Under-20s team. The 46-year-old former Gloucester Head Coach takes the reins ahead of this summer’s World Rugby U20 Championships.




Sri Lanka select Gurusinha

Asanka Gurusinha has been appointed High Performance Manager of the Sri Lanka men’s national team. The 51-year-old, who had been serving as Cricket Manager and as a team selector, is set to replace the departing Simon Willis.


Smith to become selector

Former England international Ed Smith is set to become a selector for the England men’s national team. The 40-year-old is set to replace James Whitaker, who is leaving after five years in the role.
