Josephina Oji is a strategic Social Impact and Sustainability leader redefining how global sport measures — and monetises — its value to society. As Founder and Chief Consultant of Social Value Insight, she helps sports agencies, leagues, clubs, sponsors and investors turn community and environmental challenges into positive opportunities for all. Translating purpose into a board-level asset, Josephina has helped organisations turn social value into a measurable, defensible commercial asset — not a compliance afterthought. That means impact credible enough to unlock funding, win contracts, and satisfy multilateral scrutiny.
Her career is built on a rare combination of disciplines. From championing equity as a human rights lawyer, to advising government as a policymaker and diplomat — on the importance of tackling health inequalities and the soft-power of the justice lens — before bringing that rigour to international sport delivery. Her portfolio spans Golf, E1 speed boat racing, Sailing, advising newly formed Polo and Padel leagues, Sports Club/infrastructure advisory and other projects across multiple continents.
That blend of legal precision, diplomatic fluency and commercial ambition is her signature — and increasingly, her edge. She is the creator of FanPulse™, a fan sustainability platform designed to reward and measure positive behaviour change at scale, and newly sits on the Board as a trustee of MK Dons Football Club Community Trust, where she aims to bring energy to the governance required to unlock valuable community impact.
An IoD Chartered Director, she holds an LLB from the University of Sussex, an MSc in Sustainability Solutions Leadership from the University of Exeter, and a Change Management diploma from Harvard Business School.
As one of the few Black women leading at the intersection of sport, sustainability and commercial strategy, Josephina is committed to inclusively shaping the industry’s future — and to proving that social value, measured properly, is one of sport’s most powerful commercial opportunities.
