Australia’s Saya Sakakibara is a BMX gold medallist who’s already amassed a seriously impressive haul of medals and trophies.
Three years after being stretchered off the track following a crash at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Saya Sakakibara became the first Australian cyclist to win an Olympic gold medal in BMX racing at Paris 2024. She also claimed back-to-back overall World Cup titles in 2023 and 2024 and was crowned continental champion in 2019 and 2023.
