Dave Winkworth is VP Finance for Joint Ventures & Partnerships within IMG’s media business, responsible for the financial management and reporting of the division’s joint ventures as well as the financial modelling and analysis for new long term commercial partnerships. He has 19+ years’ experience working in finance for the sports media industry, and plays a critical role in supporting IMG’s business partnerships with Euroleague, Rugby League Commercial (RLC), World Table Tennis (WTT), DP World Tour and SNTV (a joint venture between IMG and The Associated Press).
Dave joined IMG in 2008 as the Commercial Financial Controller for Football, before broadening his responsibilities across IMG’s rights business. In 2012, he became Head of Finance for European Tour Productions – IMG’s joint-venture with the European Tour – and was later promoted to Finance Director for IMG’s media joint ventures.
Prior to his career at IMG, Dave trained as an accountant with Deloitte gaining an ACA, and working with various media, sports and property clients such as Tottenham Hotspur. He has previously held roles at the BBC and CSI Sports, specialising in sports media finance.
