Edson Crevecoeur has a dual role: Senior Vice President, Strategy & Data Analytics of the Miami HEAT and Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of 601 Analytics, a Miami HEAT tech startup tailor-made for the sports and live entertainment industry.
As SVP of Strategy & Data Analytics, he has championed data-driven strategies and organizational transformations that have resulted in substantial new revenue and operational cost savings. He led the CRM implementation and adoption across sales, season ticket membership, and corporate sponsorship departments, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and data utilization.
As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of 601 Analytics, Edson spearheaded the development of a cutting-edge data platform, which integrates information across lines of business into a single source of truth, accessible by all. The product that Edson created was so transformative to the Miami HEAT that it was sought after by other teams. That’s how 601 Analytics was born. 601 Analytics client portfolio includes 20% of NBA teams, the NBA League Office, and teams across the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NWSL. Outside of 601 Analytics, Edson is often called upon by other teams and leagues to help them structure and build their own data organizations.
Crevecoeur joined the HEAT in 2014 bringing more than 20 years of expertise from Fortune 500 companies such as Viacom, Inc., Ellucian, and United Healthcare. At Viacom Inc., he led the architectural design and project management for a major big data and cloud-integrated product development initiative, identifying millions of dollars in data monetization opportunities. At Ellucian, Edson directed the technology & data consulting practice, a substantial revenue pipeline, by enhancing business intelligence services for over 70 clients. He also led United Healthcare’s data operations unit for overpayment recovery by implementing systems that generated $500M annually in revenue recovery.
