Arijana has a background in economics and is currently Head of Development in Women´s Football division at FIFA. She has worked in women´s football for 10 years at FIFA, in the current role since December 2019, since the age of 30.
As Head of Development, she is working with the 211 Member Associations on daily basis, implementing different programmes that build foundations of women´s football as well as capacities across the women´s game. She believes in the positive social transformation football can bring and is able to see this first hand, while implementing initiates/programmes and actions that allow member associations of different profiles optimise their women´s football structures and resources.
Prior to that, she worked as account manager in CFI Group – Claes Fornell International in Milan, Italy.
Arijana is also currently a President of Mali Most – Sports foundation in Bosnia & Herzegovina, that aims to promote interaction between children of various ethnic, religious and cultural groups through sporting activities and games, to create a safe environment to play sport together and to further develop sport and life skills.
