I started my journey in sports as a futsal player, winning several national and international awards throughout my career. After that, I coached at different levels, and in addition to being a UEFA B Football Coach, I’m also an official FCF coordinator and women’s football expert.
After finishing my degree in Journalism and BBA, I began writing for the sports newspaper Diario AS. Being the only woman covering FC Barcelona in the newsroom, I published more than 150 pieces in less than a year.
Following the 2014 World Cup, I accepted an offer to join a men’s scouting project in Africa. My job was to create an innovative system that allowed the scouts to find, filter and save all the information for our client’s teams in a more efficient and precise way. Even though it was a huge success, it wasn’t my dream.
So, in 2018 I decided to open the first Spanish marketing agency for female athletes to increase their sponsorship opportunities and commercial revenues. In just two years we managed to sign more than 120 clients and pioneer marketing campaigns and opportunities for sportswomen, achieving record-breaking and historical contracts.
However, I have football in my blood and, as a child, I experienced all the difficulties a woman had to overcome to become a footballer. In fact, I even had to cut my hair and change my name to Carlos to play the sport I love. Therefore, I put together all my experience to found Unik Sports Management: the first women’s football agency in Spain run by a woman with a 360-degree view. From 2020 to 2023, we’ve become the agency with more players in the Spanish National Team and in the current Women’s Champions League winner. We’ve also managed to close a main sponsorship for a Spanish First Division club and launch two NFT collections, becoming the first agency to do so in Europe.
Nowadays, I combine my days as an agent with public speaking to raise awareness in society that women can be whatever they dream of being, in sport and life.
