Chris Marris is Head of Product for Kayo Sports (Foxtel), the leading paid sports streaming service in Australia. He is responsible for the product vision and strategy, leading a team that works across all facets of the business to maximise experience, retention and growth.
Approaching two decades working at the nexus of sports, media, and technology, Chris has had the privilege to drive and innovate first-of-their-kind digital experiences for sports fans, through his work at media organisations, clubs and associations in both hemispheres.
Prior to Foxtel, Chris was part of the leadership group at Tennis Australia, where he was responsible for building the Tennis Australia and Australian Open brand through digital content and experiences. Disrupting traditional digital media partnerships and innovating the AO’s direct to fan channels through collaborations with leading brands and influencers.
He joined Tennis Australia from Manchester City / City Football Group where as the Director of Digital Media he oversaw the groups digital strategy. Leading a world class team, Chris achieved the group’s ambition to be a global digital leader in sports, and contributed to the overall advancement of the Manchester City brand. With the highlight of being the media lead on the deal team that secured a ground-breaking agreement with Amazon for their ‘All or Nothing’ series. A first in global football.
Chris puts his successes to date down to openness and a desire to continually learn from the people around him.
He holds a Masters in Advertising and Marketing from The University of Leeds, and has attended Harvard Business School, Executive Education. He is a Techstars mentor and strategic advisor for software start-up Campaignware and lives in sunny Sydney, Australia with his wife.
