Don is Chief Strategy Officer at City Football Group, where he is responsible for Strategy, Business Development and Ventures.
During his time with City, Don has lived across the growing network of clubs, working on the acquisition and subsequent integration of the teams in New York, Melbourne and Yokohama. Most recently his team led the CFG club investments of Lommel (Belgium), Troyes (France) and Mumbai (India). Under Don’s management, the ventures team has entered into a range of new business areas, including the recreational soccer business in the US, an anchor LP position in a Silicon Valley based Venture Capital sport technology fund and most recently launched Manchester City’s first NFT.
Don joined Manchester City during the 2010-11 season as Head of Strategy and Business Planning after seven years with the Boston Consulting Group, where he specialised in the private equity and media practice areas. He serves on the Board of the American East-West coast recreational soccer business Goals-SoFive and manages the interests of the CFG investment in the Dugout-OneFootball platform.
Don earned a master’s degree in economics from Trinity College, Cambridge and lives in London with his wife and daughter.
