As Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of the San Francisco 49ers, Gordon leads Legal, Public Affairs, Strategic Communications, Risk Management, Community Relations, Fan Engagement, 49ers Foundation, 49ers PREP, 49ers EDU, and the 49ers Museum for one of the most legendary brands in sports. Gordon advises ownership and the team President on the football team and the stadium management company that has attracted events like the Super Bowl and the College Football Playoff National Championship to Levi’s Stadium. She provides counsel on business and brand issues, including guiding the team through several crises, both on and off the field, during her tenure.
Gordon has founded initiatives that were first-of-their-kind among NFL teams, including 49ers PRIDE – the official 49ers fan club for LGBTQ+ community members and allies – and WON (Women of the Niners) – the official women’s club for team employees and fans, alike. 49ers PRIDE opened to national acclaim and an outpouring of support with nearly half a million social media impressions while attracting more than 1,000 members in the first week. In May 2021, she spearheaded the launch of the 2021 49ers PRIDE Collection, the first-ever genderless retail line for an NFL team. Meanwhile, WON has bucked the tired model of Football 101 clinics and wine tasting events for women by understanding the diversity of the club and meeting them with valuable experiences that meet them where they are in their lives.
Finally, one of Gordon’s proudest lines of work at the 49ers has been her oversight of the 49ers Foundation, which is made up of 49ers EDU and 49ers PREP. Thanks to her leadership, the Foundation quickly pivoted from relying on in-person programming like stadium field trips and flag football camps to unveiling a plethora of virtual resources meant to empower and educate Bay Area youth.
Gordon has served on the boards of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation Board, San Jose State’s Institute for the Study of Sport, Society, and Social Change, and the Santa Clara University Institute for Sports Law and Ethics.
A native of Oakland, California, Gordon earned her B.A. summa cum laude from UCLA where she was the first female football beat writer for The Daily Bruin. Gordon holds a J.D. from Stanford, where she previously served as a Lecturer In Law.
