Holly Murdoch has worked for almost twenty years in the Sports Industry initially within the Horseracing industry, leading commercial strategy and operational delivery a number of race tracks across the country. She moved to the FA in 2012 as part of the leadership team operating St. George’s Park, the National Football Centre. After several years developing and leading the commercial strategy and successful launch Holly was promoted to General Manager.
Holly has now overseen St George’s Park site for six and a half years, leading the delivery of the strategy and business plan across a 228 bedroom Hotel, 18 Training Pitches and the High Performance Centre at the 330 acre site, leading a team and managing key operating contracts and relationships across the FA. She has been the key driver of raising performance standards and reinforcing culture more widely across the business.
Holly has been a constant, a thread of continuity during the first 10 years of SGP, helping to create and foster the right environment around our England Teams to flourish when at SGP across all disciplines. Holly and the exceptional team have become masters of this.
Holly has very recently been promoted by FA to be Head of Operations for The Women’s Professional Game, running Barclays Women’s Super League, Barclays Women’s Championship and Continental Tyres League Cup. She will be responsible for the delivery of the ambitious Women’s Professional Game strategy at a time when the Women’s game is growing at unprecedented pace. Holly is also a non-exec director of Birmingham County FA, a non-profit organisation developing and governing the grassroots game in her region.
