Throughout his career, Kenna has amassed considerable experience across esports, digital media, and marketing in the United States and Australia with a particular expertise in finance, strategy, and operations. His efforts have positioned him as an influential and well-regarded figure at the intersection of gaming, sports, and entertainment.
Kenna’s career trajectory has followed a relentless pursuit of short-term goals. Prior to joining GameSquare, Kenna’s financial prowess landed him at the epicenter of the fast-paced, high-growth gaming industry as CFO of FaZe Clan. During his time at the organization, Kenna not only leveraged his financial know-how to communicate the value of the nascent esport industry to Wall Street, but also drove new revenue opportunities to directly support the growth and development of the world’s first $1 billion esports brand. Previously, the Australian executive held various financial analyst roles and accounting jobs at “Big Four” firms. He was Director of Finance at Madison+Vine, a next-gen creative marketing studio, and worked at Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Optimist Inc., and more over the past 17 years.
Under Kenna’s stewardship, GameSquare has worked with 150+ global brands, including Lenovo, Jack-in-the-Box, and many more. GameSquare’s subsidiaries have developed global gaming campaigns for Kraft-Heinz, Tyson, and MiO, signed agency of record deals with the Dallas Cowboys, and established partnerships with major sports leagues, including the NFL. Meanwhile, GameSquare’s Complexity has worked with a number of influential brands on campaigns to improve inclusivity and amplify underrepresented voices in the historically male-dominated gaming space, including partnerships with Denny’s, JBL, and Miller Lite.
