Until recently, Kelly held the position of Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Communications at Roc Nation Sports, curating and executing authentic brand-build strategy across the agency’s talent and consulting client roster, developing authentic and impactful partnerships between properties, and positioning purpose at the forefront of activation.
Through her work with the likes of Marcus Rashford MBE, Kelly has been able to demonstrate the power of social impact that can be derived from the platform sports affords – not only championing causes but impacting policy through effective communication strategies.
Since 2020, Kelly has driven the #endchildfoodpoverty campaign alongside Marcus Rashford MBE, which has seen 1.7 million vulnerable children across the UK supported via Government investment valued at £520 million. She has spearheaded strategy build and execution of partnerships with the likes of Burberry, whose Festive campaign featuring Rashford was deemed the ‘secret to the fashion house’s Instagram branding success’ – developing content that became the most liked in the brand’s social media history and doubling their average audience engagement. Kelly negotiated the industry-first partnership between Marcus Rashford and Macmillan Children’s Books with creative input on material that saw Rashford’s debut book land at number 1 on the best-selling children’s book chart. Through the Marcus Rashford Book Club, 390,000 books are being distributed via partners such as The National Literacy Trust and Magic Breakfast – an initiative driven by Hogarth passionately. She was also heavily involved in the production of ‘Feeding Britain’s Children’, Rashford’s documentary in partnership with the BBC, Rashford’s ‘Full Time’ cooking initiative with Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge, and recent engagements with Barack Obama and Sir Alex Ferguson.
In September 2021, Kelly founded Thelma Gwen, recruiting Rashford as her founding client. Thelma Gwen redefines representation with its truly bespoke approach to strategy, married with an industry-renowned brand build expertise. This is authentic, uncompromising, storytelling for sustainable success, and business management driven by purpose and integrity. Having developed her craft in the luxury fashion arena and having held Senior marketing and PR positions across a variation of industries that led her to be named on PR Week’s UK Power Book in 2021, Kelly Hogarth at the helm of Thelma Gwen brings about a modern and refreshing take on talent and brand management.
