As the Chief Administrative Officer of USA Swimming, McRoberts relies on her experience leading the organization’s legal, risk management, human resources, information technology, and Safe Sport divisions to facilitate its short and long-term strategic planning. After successfully navigating the organization through a U.S. Congressional investigation in 2018, McRoberts established and continues to head its government relations division, as well as oversees its international relations activities. Additionally, McRoberts serves as a trusted advisor to USA Swimming’s Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, and executive team.
With over a decade of work in athlete abuse prevention and response, McRoberts continues to promote the health and safety of swimmers as the organization’s top priority. She leads a working group designed to keep athletes’ wellbeing at the forefront of all matters at USA Swimming, and together with the sport’s critical stakeholders, McRoberts is developing new programs and resources and facilitating dialogue to protect swimmers in and out of the pool. In its first $5 million round of funding, the Keeping Athletes First initiative has supported the development of technology management systems; a coaching curriculum and associated standards; and Safe Sport staff development and training to enhance community education to protect athletes.
As Executive Director of the USA Swimming Foundation, McRoberts is responsible for the corporate governance and strategic planning of the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming. In 2022, the USA Swimming Foundation awarded the highest levels of funding in its history to swim lesson providers and to National Team athletes through its Donor Athlete Partnership Program.
Within the Olympic Community, McRoberts has served on, per appointment, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) National Governing Body Oversight & Compliance Committee, the National Governing Body Council (NGBC) Leadership Liaison Group to the U.S. Center for SafeSport, the NGBC Amateur Sports Act Legislative Task Force, and the USOPC’s Governance Working Group.
A native of Columbia, Missouri, McRoberts is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to joining USA Swimming, she worked as an associate at a corporate law firm in Missouri and Colorado.
