Matt is Group Director of Analytics & Research at beIN MEDIA GROUP, responsible for delivery of commercial insights, analytics, data and intelligence across the global beIN portfolio. beIN’s vibrant portfolio of products & content are delivered across 43 countries, containing a diverse range of consumers from a technological, cultural and political perspective. Matt first joined beIN on a mission to change the way sports rights were acquired. He built an excellent team that developed a bespoke approach to transform market, competitor and customer data into highly accurate bid recommendations and thoughtful tender strategy. beIN’s content strategy is underpinned by this approach today. Matt then moved to Doha to take the lead on MENA strategy, driving packaging, pricing and product decision-making including a full revamp of the consumer proposition this year.
Matt’s journey into the sports industry began after moving to London in 2009 to play rugby. An opportunity at the National Basketball Association enabled him to turn his passion for sport into a career, and ultimately set the course through a range of roles including Sony Pictures and A+E Networks, to his role at beIN today.
Matt is a proud kiwi and father of three, and currently enjoys living in Doha with his family, and his individual pursuits of competitive cycling and triathlon.
