Peter Burroughs is EVP Media, DAZN Group, leading the global growth of DAZN’s advertising sales business, in a role that’s integral to the development of the brand and has seen the successful integration of advertising partnerships into high profile rights such Serie A, Bundesliga, WUCL, UCL, La Liga, J League and many more . Burroughs started his career with DAZN Group (formerly Perform Group) 16 years ago, as a sports advertising sales executive at the dawn of the online video explosion. He moved quickly to take on responsibility for the launch and distribution of ePlayer to over 1,000 publishers (then a groundbreaking syndicated video player packaged with premium sports highlights content) across the UK, Europe and its global expansion.
He contributed to the company’s continued growth story as he went on to become director of client services in the UK, Nordics and Switzerland looking after a variety of sports rights holders and governing bodies’ digital platforms and strategy. In 2013, he became Managing Director of the yet-to-launch Africa region where he was responsible for the ground up development of Perform Group’s two divisions; Perform Media and Perform Content. Having spent six years living and working across Africa in 2019, Burroughs returned the UK to work on building the advertising sales and operations division of DAZN and became Senior Vice President of Media, EMEA before being elevated to his current role in October 2020.
