Simon Joyce is Chief Business Officer at COPA90, the fan-first football media company with a community of over 8 million modern fans, creators and collectives, where he has worked for over six years.
Simon carries board-level responsibility for the strategic development and commercial growth of COPA90’s integrated clients and media partnership offering through a multifaceted portfolio of products and solutions including content IP, editorial, social, influencer marketing, original research, insight, planning, ideation and activation. During his tenure he has secured, developed and grown long-term relationships with the biggest brands in the world, including EA SPORTS, PepsiCo, Budweiser, Sports Direct, Nike, adidas, Visa, Chelsea FC, The Premier League, Snapchat and TikTok.
Under his stewardship, the company continues to deliver record breaking growth which has been recognised in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 ‘Fastest Growing Private Technology Companies’. The breadth of achievements over the past 18 months has seen COPA90 awarded 25 wins and a further 55 shortlists from across the media industry; from Cannes Lions, World Media Awards, Masters of Marketing, to Clios, Broadcast and Podcast Awards. None of which would be possible without the unique team of thinkers, creators and distributors who conceive and deliver groundbreaking content and activations on a daily basis; reaching, engaging and influencing Gen-Z fans and putting COPA90 and its partners at the heart of global football culture .
Prior to COPA90, Simon sat brand side building the strategies and activations to engage fans of major sporting events and properties, including FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Championships, World Rally Championships and International Cricket Council. He holds a MSc in Business Management, BA in Marketing and a Diploma from the European Sponsorship Association.
