Alex Kerr, CEO & Founder of Trajektory, brings a blend of quantitative, strategy, and marketing expertise to his present role. Trajektory harnesses the power of cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionize the analysis of TV, social, and both digital and non-digital related content. This innovative approach, combined with a dynamic valuation methodology has allowed Trajektory to deliver on an integrity-driven valuation process, setting the new standard in media analytics.
Prior to Trajektory, Alex helped build the Business Intelligence department at Monumental Sports & Entertainment in Washington DC, overseeing marketing analytics, research, and sponsorship analytics and insights. Alex then left Monumental to go and work for a Fortune 500 loyalty and e-commerce brand where he built a 40-person division leading Marketing, Growth, and Business Intelligence. He remained close to the sports industry, investing tens of millions in sponsorship.
Through these experiences, Alex identified a massive gap in the sponsorship space around quantifying value and ROI. He recognized the system was broken, plagued by incomplete, ineffective, and inaccurate data. As the industry became more data-driven, this old method of reporting was no longer sufficient or helpful. His mission to democratize data with a consistent and integrity-driven approach changed the way leading organizations and brands throughout the industry are thinking about reporting and optimizing their sponsorship.
Those who work closely with Alex are familiar with his quirky behavior and distinct laugh. He fosters an environment where creativity is nurtured and conventional thinking is challenged. Alex’s leadership is not wrought from a loud or overbearing presence; instead, it emanates from his unwavering work ethic and the trust he places in his team. He is a leader who invests in his people, guiding them with quiet confidence and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Alex extends his mentorship regularly to the startup community. Having a keen appreciation for the hurdles he overcame to build a successful company, Alex has a deep-seated desire to guide new founders along their entrepreneurial journeys. Alex’s efforts are often cited as instrumental in the success of many up-and-coming enterprises.
Alex earned a B.A. in Economics from Kenyon College and an M.B.A. from Duke University. He also is an adjunct professor at both Northwestern University and Georgetown University.
