Jon Norfolk MBE is the Head Coach of the British Cycling Team, one of the most successful sports teams in history, who have topped the Olympic and Paralympic medal tables since the Beijing games in 2008.
Jon has been an integral part of this journey starting out as an athlete on the Olympic programme and then on the Paralympic programme as a world record breaking tandem pilot partnering with Anthoy Kappes. After his retirement, he transitioned straight into a coaching role as the Assistant National Olympic Sprint Coach and then as the Paralympic Head Coach leading the team into the Rio Paralympics.
Jon then joined the Australian Cycling Teamin a new role as the Head of Performance Pathways & People and then Head of Coaching & Performance Pathways spanning a two-year period based in Adelaide.
In 2019, Jon returned to the GB Cycling Teamin a targeted role as the Head of Tokyo Performance Planning, before taking on his current Head Coaching role across both the Olympic & Paralympic programmes.
Jon was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to cycling.
