As the England & Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) Performance Director, a post he has held since 2019, Mo Bobat is responsible for supporting the medium to long term performance strategy for England men’s teams across formats, working closely with the Managing Director of England Men’s Cricket.
Mo’s role also involves leading the men’s performance pathway which entails oversight of all talent identification activity, development programmes and teams, and science and medicine functions, as well as the running of the National Performance Centre in Loughborough.
Mo has a Masters in Sports Directorship, a BSc Honours in Sports Science & Management and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Mo has also achieved ECB Level 4 Master Coach qualification and was a cohort 1 graduate for UK Sport’s Future Leaders Programme.
Through his formative experiences as a teacher and coach, and his time in professional sport, Mo most enjoys helping individuals and teams to fulfil their potential. Above all, Mo believes that true fulfilment comes from passionately pursuing the things that you love and aims to role model that through his leadership.
