Marco has recently joined fitness and wellness company Virgin Active to oversee its approach to AI, after a previous stint in the same role at lottery operator Allwyn.
His role is to drive and shape the AI strategy across Virgin Active’s operations, including its 7,500 employees.
Amongst its more visible AI initiatives, Virgin Active is using agentic AI to connect with potential and current customers, to spur greater use of over 230 gyms in eight different markets and to help serve an overall Virgin membership of over a million people. It is also exploring new areas, such as how best to integrate digital wearables with agentic AI.
